Bringing together more than 40 Estonian ceramic artists, Silent Resonance explores the meeting point of ceramics, sound and silence. Rather than approaching ceramics through music directly, the exhibition looks at how form, mass, surface and emptiness shape the way we experience space.
Some works absorb sound through matte, porous surfaces and soft edges. Others reflect or disperse it through glazed surfaces, hard planes, rhythmic textures and fragmented forms.
This is also an exhibition to experience up close. Many of the works invite physical interaction: visitors can approach them from different angles, discover details, and in some cases gently touch, move or even create sound with them.
In a house built around listening, Silent Resonance turns attention towards quieter sounds: those we may barely hear, yet which change the way a space feels.
